Hello Tamia Talkers, Happy May!
I don’t know about you, but it’s been a heavy week, and I’ve spent the past few days feeling a bit down. However, there is hope, and, this month, my collection of ins and outs is an aspirational calling in of good energy.
They are the things I want to hold onto and let go of. Perhaps you will join me in doing so.
Despite what Kendrick Lamar says, being a hater is so hard. I see people who come up with very quippy, delightful, and intelligent analyses about things they hate (see: Hate Read by
), but, every month, I find it incredibly challenging to compile my most negative thoughts. I think it’s because there’s room for nuance in disdain and opportunity for growth and evolution in our frustrations. That’s all good and great to acknowledge. But, until I get better at it, I plan to wake up every morning and turn Kendrick Lamar’s diss track into my morning affirmations.
I love the way that I walk, the way that I talk. I love the way that I dress, I love the way that I… exist. Whatever, fill in the blank with what you need to feel lifted. Here are my ins and outs.

thinking you don’t need sunscreen because you’re wearing a hat and long sleeves (you will still burn, diva!)
letting a man (or two) ruin your life (i’m talking to you, tashi duncan!!)

I, unfortunately, have too easy of a time relating to Kendrick's propensity for being a hater but loving this positive take
not beautiful gowns!
