Hello Tamia Talkers, Happy Sunday! I missed a post last week, so I am happy to return to our usual antics with some ins and outs to kick off the month.
I have some lingering drafts and reflections that I have yet to share with you, so there might be some surprise extra stacks landing in your inbox.
This week, I happily concluded (or at least kind of concluded) my 2024 travel era with trips to Chicago and NYC for Sweat Tour and to indulge in some Broadway shows.
In partaking in the aforementioned endeavors, I found much inspiration for this month’s list. I hope you enjoy it, and, as always, tell me what’s in and out for you!
in
asking your peers “where art thou?”
troye sivan and miss charli (thank u, sweat)
axe throwing (hot, fun, exhilarating)
one singular krispy kreme donut and a long stare out of a window
panera and press on tattoos
dressing as a 12-year-old for halloween
nicole scherzinger (in all caps)
reading the news and subscribing to your local paper :)
wicked countdown and attempting to read a single book
long walks and deep talks with a bestie
bahn mi and maintaining your 600-day duolingo streak while out at the bar
christina aguilera and the blonde agenda
board games and trips to the arcade
confirming your voter registration and being able to do the splits
reading a self-help book that makes you question all of your life decisions
out
shallow sinks and cash-only institutions
uncomfortable shoes
buying expensive concert merch
doughy and excessively chewy pizza
skimming a document for information, let’s contextualize!
loneliness (call up your besties and lovers and hit the streets!)
hating musicals (and not appreciating theatre people)
working out so hard on the first day of the week that you are physically incapable of carrying on
waiting until the last minute to pack a bag for a trip
phoning in a halloween costume (you cannot simply be just a guy)
endless scrolling (give your fingers a break)
not knowing what’s on your ballot (referendums, local races, the like!)
